Annual General Meeting
In accordance to the ASF rules, the Association must, at least once each calendar year and within a period of 3 months after the expiration of each financial year of the Association, convene an annual general meeting of its members.
The date, time and venue of the meeting are determined by the National committee, usually in September of each year.
The business of the annual general meeting must be:
- To confirm the business of the last preceding annual general meeting and of any special general meeting held since that meeting;
- To receive a report from the auditor of the association in respect of the last preceding financial year;
- To receive from the national committee a summary report of the activities of the association during the last preceding financial year;
- To elect the members of the national committee
- Consider any other business as initiated by members
All ASF members via their nominated ASF representative will be contacted at least 14 days prior to the meeting with the following information:
- Place
- Date
- Time
- Nature of business to be transacted
At least five members (through their nominated representatives) are required to either attend or submit proxies for the transaction of the business of a general meeting.
